I recently played for Jessica’s awesome wedding.
It was in this beautiful venue…it’s in downtown LA.
On this chock full of character ‘Premier’ piano!!
The bride who had recently inherited a piano from her grandmother and just started learning to play, quite courageously decided to play
‘White Wedding ‘ at her wedding cocktail hour.
We rehearsed it once and guess what…It turned out really awesome!!
Weddings are so amazing because people are amazing.
Here’s what the awesome bride wrote to my wife the next day!!
‘I want to share with you that so many people came up to me the next day and said you were great and they really enjoyed you. I really appreciate you taking the time to play white wedding with me. Everyone loved it, even if I had no idea what I was doing at that moment. You were right, no one cared! Thanks so much for everything. I will definitely recommend you if a pianist is in need.’
My job, which only very rarely feels like a job… Just Rocks!!! : )
This is the “rig” at the awesome Season’s 52 in Century City. I love it!! A great sounding piano and a monitor for vocals and it just sounds fantastic! : ) This is a great spot to play at. The food is great and the people working there are very cool. I’m playing there every month check my gig page for the schedule!!
I just created this vocal piano demo of some songs so that people can hear what I sound like.
Hope you like it. : )
It was very fun to make!
I love this venue!!
…and what a beautiful venue it is. I loved playing for the wedding. I mean….It said Mariner’s Chapel….I had this idea of this little wedding chapel …
But this is a beautiful structure! Glorious is an appropriate adjective in fact. : )
I have to say the Yamaha Baby Grand was quite a pleasure and Jonathan the tech that was there was fantastic to work with and
had dialed in this great mix where there was a little bit of piano and a little bit of reverb in the monitor so that when I played this
instrument it was like being in a sweet piano music cloud!!
Ok, gush, gush. The music selection was also classic and perfect. Bach, Mendelssohn, Wagner, Pachelbel and…Somewhere over the Rainbow…..: )
I loved it . Hope to play there again very soon. Here are some other shots I took. : )
This is a Pianist eye view. : )
I just got this great review on Yelp from a really fun and fast and actually quite lovely project….
Recently hired Marc to help me record a song that I wanted to give to my wife for our 29th wedding anniversary. I was absolutely amazed by how well it turned out particularly since I DO NOT SING. I mean, not a note. Marc was incredibly patient and creative (emphasis on creative) in helping me pull this off. His piano playing was beautiful and his mixing and editing skills first rate. And a truly good guy which made what I expected to be a very painful experience actually fun!
The best part was when he called me a told me her reaction!!
I love it here! : )
You can read the whole review here and find some other nice ones!! : )
